Start a New Auction by Duplicating a Past Auction

You can now duplicate past auctions.

You can now duplicate previous auctions and transfer any required data. Past auctions don't need to be removed.

Note: Auction duplication is restricted to the auction administrator. You need to sign in with the administrator's (original creator's) email credentials to duplicate auction data.

Follow these instructions to Create A New Auction:

  • Navigate to Auction Setup > My Auctions:

  • Click on Duplicate:

    • Select Duplicate from the action menu located above

  • Select Options:

    • A dialog box will display with multiple options and dropdown menus.

    • Source Auction: Choose the auction you wish to duplicate from the dropdown menu.

    • Create New or Target Auction: Determine whether to create a new auction or duplicate an existing target auction. Select your preference from the dropdown menu.

    • Select What to Duplicate: Pick specific components to duplicate, including the Homepage Greeting, Items, Tickets, and Bidders.

  • Finalize:

    • Review your selections and confirm you have finished the duplication process.

  • Verify and Update Duplicated Content:

    • Important: Following duplication, check all copied content to ensure it's accurate.

    • Configure your defaults under General Setup > Default Auction Preferences

    • Navigate to Item Management > Select All > Edit Selected to update dates or other information.

  • Modify the name of your new auction

    • Navigate to your Dashboard > Set Up Your Auction box and modify your new auction's name.
