1. Transactions May Be Processed Through a Connected Account
In many fundraising and marketplace setups, payments (such as auction winner payments) are processed through a Connected Account rather than the main Stripe account.
A Connected Account (sometimes called a subaccount) is a separate Stripe account linked to a primary Stripe account. Transactions processed under a connected account will not appear in the main account’s transaction list unless you switch to that specific account.
2. You May Not Have Permission to View That Account
Stripe uses roles and permissions to control what users can see. If you are not the primary account owner or have not been granted access to a specific connected account, you will not see its transactions.
Access to one Stripe account does not automatically grant access to all connected or related accounts.
3. How to Switch to the Correct Stripe Account
To view transactions for a connected account:
Log in to your Stripe dashboard
In the upper-left corner, click your organization’s name
Use the account switcher to select the appropriate connected account
Go to Payments → Transactions to view activity for that account
The account switcher is available to all users who have access to multiple Stripe accounts.
4. If You Still Don’t See the Account
If the connected account does not appear in the account switcher:
The account owner or administrator must grant you access in Stripe
Your role may need to be updated to allow transaction visibility
Summary
Missing transactions are most often caused by viewing the wrong Stripe account
Payments processed through a connected account will not appear in the main account
Proper permissions and account access are required to view all transactions
This behavior is expected and documented by Stripe and does not indicate a processing or payout issue.
